Body Beautiful

For some only the physical is seen -
as if a ghost is donned with apparel;
so when like the changing raiment
of this earth through the seasons,
one’s apparel changes -
perhaps from skinny to skeletal,
or from skinny to fat -
our view of the other changes accordingly,
and we move one.

However in seeing only the physical,
a deeper truth is masked.
Our love for the beloved is much more,
yet the physical often times
stands at the fore.
